Transportation

Because children and their families travel to CPRI from throughout Southwestern Ontario for specialized treatment, the distance is sometimes a financial hardship for the families we serve - particularly considering current gas prices.

It is not unusual for a family to travel several hundred kilometers each week to attend appointments or weekend visits. VOCPRI provides assistance to families in the form of gasoline allowance, train and bus fares.

This support can make a difference as to whether a child is able to attend treatment.

Thank you so much for your recent purchase of a CD player for my son. He uses it every day on the school bus and it has made a big difference in his behaviour. He comes home a much happier child because he doesn't have to listen to anyone else. This makes things much easier to deal with at home. Thank you for your assistance!
