VOCPRI

VOCPRI has made a $100,000 commitment to interRAI, a new child and youth mental health assessment instrument, being developed at CPRI by Dr. Shannon L. Stewart.

Year: 2009   Contributed: $50,000

In the summer of 2010, VOCPRI contributed $50,000 towards creating new spaces for children and youth at two residential units - Thameswood and Unit 6. These units care for children and youth who have a developmental disability and are also experiencing emotional and/or behavioural challenges ("dual diagnosis") that have not responded to intervention within the home or community environment.

Oakwood is a 3-bedroom house on the grounds of CPRI that provides free accomodation to visiting families.

Year: 2008 Contribution: $6,265

Most of the children staying at Pratten One are medically fragile and have a wide range of developmental and physical challenges. The gazebo provides a shelter for these children when they are able to go outdoors.

Year: 2008 Contribution: $20,850

Videoconferencing use has been steadily increasing and is used for education of clinicians, clinical consultations and community consultations. It is extremely helpful to serve children/youth and their families and service providers who are located long distances from CPRI.

The VOCPRI Courtyard is located behind the Pratten building. It is comprised of a pavillion, playground, BBQ and picnic area. This courtyard provides an outdoor area to be enjoyed by children and families, as well as CPRI staff.

All children need to play, and few recreational activities provide more enjoyment for the kids of CPRI than swimming.

Operation Sunshine was a fundraising project that was designed to build a sunroom for the children of Pratten One at CPRI. The sunroom was funded by a variety of generous donors.
